Clive Davis Responds to Kelly Clarkson's Criticism of His Memoir: "I Had Every Fact Checked"

One day after Kelly Clarkson wrote a scathing review Tuesday, Feb. 19 of his new memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life,Clive Davis responded to her claims, countering he had everything fact-checked.In a lengthy Twitterresponse of his own Feb. 20, Davis said, "As anyone who has readThe Soundtrack of My Life knows, I think Kelly Clarkson is a tremendous vocal talent and performer. In the book, I provide an in-depth look at our years together during which we shared major multi-platinum success, as well as a few creative differences. I am truly very sorry that she has decided to take issue with what I know to be an accurate depiction of our time together."

Clarkson, 30, took major issue with many of Davis' accounts of their time together, charging that her former mentor "bullied" her. "I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans," she wrote on her WhoSay blog. "It feels like a violation."
